Q: What do you think has been the best way to promote the program for your type of business?
“The most effective way I’ve found to promote our text program is through staff engagement and consistent social media presence. We aim to feature the program in our social media rotation at least once a month to keep it top-of-mind. Since customers are often busy or in a hurry, having our waitstaff mention the program during service has been incredibly helpful—especially when there’s a perk like 15% off a dine-in food order upon signup. That kind of instant savings usually seals the deal! We also host live entertainment about 10 months out of the year, and having bands or performers mention the text program is a game-changer. Anyone with a mic has a great opportunity to reach and engage a large group of guests at once!”
Q: Have you found the program easy to use?
“The online system is easy to use and gives me the flexibility to send texts now or pre-schedule texts for a future time frame! I also really like the text from cell phone feature – I am able to send out a text quickly in case we have a change in music, power outage, slower day, etc.”
Q: What has the text program done for your business?
“The CloseBy® Text Program has significantly improved our communication with customers. I’ve noticed that whenever we send a text about an upcoming event, we consistently see a better turnout compared to relying on social media alone. On occasions when I’ve forgotten to send a text, attendance for things like trivia nights or live bands has noticeably dropped. It’s clear that text messaging makes a big impact!”
Q: What’s your favorite message you have sent out?
“Our favorite messages to send are entertainment-related—they’re a huge draw for us! We typically host live music on both Friday and Saturday nights for about 10 months out of the year, and these events really excite our audience. We’ve also seen great success with gift card promotion texts—they always generate a strong response.”
