Our February CloseBy® Spotlight shines on Boaz Florist based in Boaz, AL. Owner Misty Terrell utilizes the text program to stay connected and ensure her flower shop stays at the forefront of her customers’ minds! Currently in her second year with the text program, Misty has accumulated a list of 42 subscribers and counting. She loves keeping her customers in the loop and the fact that the CloseBy® program is so easy to use.

Q: What do you think has been the best way to promote the program for your type of business?

“I personally think the BEST way to promote the program is by publishing and posting it anywhere you promote your business. (Website, Facebook, Radio Ads, etc) We also try to talk to every customer that comes into our shop about the great benefits of being part of our text program.”

Q: What was the biggest reason you signed up for the text program?

“I wanted a better way to stay top of mind with all of our customers and make sure that they know that we are here and ready to help them with any of the their floral or gift giving needs. I also wanted to have a better way (other than Facebook) to connect with my customers. I know I text a lot personally and all of my customers are always texting when they are in my floral shop so it seemed like the perfect way to connect with them.”

Q: Have you found the program easy to use?

“The online system is SUPER EASY to use—I was actually very nervous when I first signed up as I thought it would be difficult and confusing. When I was walked through the online system by my Account Manager I realized this is EASY! Just a fun fact about myself I am NOT tech savvy at all, I do not like technology. So for me to say something online is EASY—it must be extremely easy and user friendly!!”

Q: What has the text program done for your business?

“The text program has honestly been such a great way to stay top of mind with all of our customers. Our customers really enjoy receiving the text messages and they do react to them.”

Q: What’s your favorite part of the text program?

“I like all of it—it is just such a great program. I like the monthly holiday ideas that are emailed as they help me think bigger for my business. I also love that I get monthly calls from my Account Manager—to be able to have someone helping you with message creation, message sending, and ideas is invaluable!! The ease of the online system, how easy it is for customers to sign-up. I could not be happier with the program.”
