Q: What’s your favorite message you have sent out?

“There are so many great text messages to choose from, but if I had to pick a few favorites, these stand out: The messages we’ve sent to boost business on slower days or during off-seasons — they’ve truly shown how powerful text marketing can be for driving traffic and sales when it’s needed most! I also love the texts we send to promote upcoming events. One of my absolute favorites was our Doggies & Donuts event — such a fun way to connect with our customers and their furry friends!”

Q: What do you think has been the best way to promote the program for your type of business?

“The best way I have found to promote the text program is through words and actions! Speaking to every customer that comes into my store. I say using words as you will receive marketing materials but to be honest sometimes our customers are in a zone or they do not necessarily look at signage. So it is super important to talk to customers. If we ask a customer at checkout if they want to sign up to save 20% on an item – they never say no!! Staff involvement is so very important!! We also add the text program to EVERYTHING!! We post the text program on Social Media, our Website, and any flyers that we send out to customers!”

Q: Have you found the program easy to use?

“The online system that they have created is amazing and super user-friendly. I am able to send out a text very quickly (less than 2 minutes) and I love that I can see all of my past messages from all 11 years I have had the program! I love that I can look back through the years to see what texts I have done on previous holidays, seasons, etc. I also love that I have had the same account manager all 11 (and counting) years – she always has ideas for me and is always happy to help if I need assistance with sending a text or need assistance troubleshooting something. I always get nervous using the URL shortener on the online system – I usually call my Text Account Manager and she ALWAYS helps me with no question!”

Q: What has the text program done for your business?

“The CloseBy Text Program has benefited our boutique in so many ways: additional sales & added communication with our customers to just name a couple! The text program has truly given us an opportunity to create a VIP Club for our customers – they feel so special being apart of it! They know by being on the text club they will be the first to hear about events, new inventory, holiday hours, and they always get the best deals!”
